Hotelplan sells the holiday resort Pueblo Eldorado Playa

The holiday resort Pueblo Eldorado Playa (PEP) in Cambrils, Costa Dorada, comes under new ownership as Hotelplan sells the resort to MedGroup Inversiones SL, Barcelona. For the current 2007 season the resort will be managed as before. Hotelplan Schweiz, as a travel agents, will continue to advertise Pueblo Eldorado Playa in its brochures.

Hotelplan AG is selling the Pueblo Eldorado Playa holiday resort to the MedGroup Inversiones SL.

MedGroup Inversiones SL, Barcelona, is a renowned tourism investor group and is the owner of large holiday resorts in Spain. These include the La Manga Resort in Murcia with 2000 holiday homes, 5-star hotel, restaurants, tennis courts and golf course or the Bonmont Terres Noves resort in Mont Roig de Camp with 250 villas/apartments, 5-star hotel and golf course. Further tourism projects are planned for the Costa Dorada in the coming years.

Hotelplan Schweiz will continue to advertise Hotel Pueblo Eldorado Playa as part of its travel programme. The holiday resort on the Costa Dorada has been a popular destination for holiday-makers from Switzerland and Germany for many years.

Hotel Director Nicolas Buchli and his team will continue to manage the holiday resort for the current season 2007.

The sale has been undertaken against the background of a strategic analysis and the subsequently defined corporate strategy, whereby Hotelplan AG intends to cease managing hotels and holiday resorts in the future. The sales contract will be signed in Barcelona on 20 July. The contract partners have not divulged the selling price.
