Hotelplan Group, based in Glattbrugg, Switzerland, is a globally active Swiss travel group in the leisure and business travel sector. The group’s business units include Switzerland’s largest tour operator, Hotelplan Suisse, with the brands travelhouse and tourisme pour tous, and the Volume Tour Operating division, which includes the beach holiday and city break business with the Hotelplan, Migros Ferien and vtours brands. In Great Britain the group is represented by Hotelplan UK, one of Britain’s major skiing and walking holiday specialists, with the Inghams, Inntravel, Esprit Holidays, Santa’s Lapland and Explore Worldwide brands. Interhome Group, one of Europe’s leading rental holiday home providers with the Interhome and Interchalet brands, and the business travel specialists bta first travel and Finass Reisen also belong to the Hotelplan Group portfolio. The IT, Finance, Digital and Strategy and Communications departments are managed centrally. Hotelplan Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, Switzerland’s largest retail organisation with headquarters in Zurich.

Business Units

Hotelplan Suisse

Hotelplan Suisse is the largest Swiss tour operator and the Swiss subsidiary of the internationally active Hotelplan Group with approximately 550 employees. The branch network is made up of 82 agencies throughout Switzerland.

Volume Tour Operating

The Hotelplan Group bundles its beach vacation and city trip business under the Volume Tour Operating segment. This includes the Hotelplan, Migros Ferien and vtours brands. The flight broker business in Switzerland and Germany is also part of the division.

Hotelplan UK

Hotelplan UK is active in the specialized niche business with a broad range of products. The winter business includes the Inghams, Esprit and Santa's Lapland brands. The individual hiking and cycling holidays of Inntravel and Explore Worldwide provide a balance in summer.

Interhome Group with the brands Interhome and Interchalet is specialized in the brokerage of holiday homes and apartements. The portfolio consists of around 35,000 accommodations in 28 countries. The closeness to the landlord and to the guests is one of the strengths of Interhome Group.

The business travel segment includes the two specialist brands – bta first travel and Finass Reisen – which offer tailor-made business travel concepts. With innovative solutions, customers are offered optimal and personal services.

Anja Keckeisen to join Hotelplan Group Board of Directors

Anja Keckeisen is appointed to the Board of Directors of the Migros Group-owned subsidiary Hotelplan Group. She will take up her seat on 1 March 2023 and replace Thomas Stirnimann, who is stepping down from the Board of Directors at the end of March.

Denmark, which offers a huge range of regional diversity and panoramic coastal landscapes between its North Sea and Baltic seaboards, has become ever more popular as a tourist destination in recent years.
