Swedish tourism on the up
Demand for holidays in Sweden continues to rise. In the past two years, the arrivals of international tourists has risen by 31%[1] , a clear sign of Sweden’s growing attractiveness as a travel destination. Sylvia Epaillard, the joint CEO of Interhome, believes that tourism in Sweden has a bright future ahead: “Over the last 15 years, the development of Swedish tourism has been both extremely successful and impressive in terms of both the available offers and the associated services. More and more people are discovering Sweden as a holiday destination and appreciate its unique combination of pristine countryside, opportunities for relaxation and authentic experiences. Holiday homes and apartments are ideal for this purpose, as they offer guests great freedom and comfort, whether for individual exploration, relaxing days outdoors or time spent with family and friends.” More sustainable travel is also playing an increasingly significant role. Indeed, Sweden has one of Europe's best charging networks for electric vehicles. As a result, visitors can reach their destination comfortably and in a more environmentally friendly way; an important factor for many of today's travellers.

Halmstad: the ideal location
By opening its new service office in Halmstad, Interhome aims to further open up the region for stays at holiday homes and assist holiday-home owners and guests with a comprehensive all-round package of local services, from servicing and maintenance work to cleaning, reception and support for guests. Halmstad was a strategic choice because the stunning beaches of Halland are especially appealing and the region has a huge potential for holiday-home rental. The city is also near to popular holiday regions in Småland, making it an attractive starting point for travellers. The development of tourism in Halmstad region will also benefit from a new direct ferry link from Denmark and various upcoming events cultural and both national and international sporting events. These enhance the region’s appeal to tourists and increase demand for accommodation.

Interhome’s new service office in Halmstad has important implications for tourism and offers holiday home-owners optimal assistance in renting out their properties.
