Hotelplan Suisse: Expansion of flight capacity from Bern
Hotelplan Suisse is further expanding its flight offering from Bern Airport with a new direct connection to Monastir in Tunisia from the end of May 2025. The tour operator is thus increasing its flight capacity by 23% compared to 2024 - a strong signal for Bern as a business location. Customers from the cantons of Jura, Neuchâtel, Bern, Solothurn, Fribourg and Vaud in particular appreciate flights from Bern.
Following the pandemic-related interruption, Hotelplan Suisse relaunched its holiday flights from Bern in 2021 - since then, the offer has been continuously expanded. In 2025, the tour operator is offering 23% more seats from Bern than in 2024, and even 37% more than in 2023.
With Hotelplan Suisse to 7 holiday destinations
While Hotelplan Suisse only offered two destinations from Bern in 2021 - Heraklion and Palma de Mallorca - the programme now includes ten flights a week to seven holiday destinations in Greece, Cyprus, Tunisia and Spain. In total, Hotelplan Suisse will distribute 45% of the seats on the flights offered by Helvetic Airways from Berne in 2025. The company thus remains the leading tour operator for holiday flights from the Swiss capital.
Greece is particularly popular from Bern this summer, with Heraklion Airport in first place, followed by the Balearic Islands with Palma de Mallorca and Larnaca in Cyprus. More than 90 % of customers who choose flights from Bern come from Jura, Neuchâtel, Bern, Solothurn, Fribourg and Vaud. But the advantages of Bern Airport are also highly appreciated in Valais, Aargau, Basel and Lucerne.
Monastir also on offer from the end of May
Due to the high demand for travel from Bern, Hotelplan Suisse has launched a new direct connection with Helvetic Airways from Bern Airport to Monastir on Friday mornings from the end of May to October - currently the only direct connection from Switzerland to Monastir. Thanks to the airport's central location, travellers benefit from short transfer times to some of the region's most fascinating destinations. Port El Kantaoui attracts travellers with its picturesque marina, beaches and golfing opportunities. In Sousse, historic architecture meets vibrant nightlife. Mahdia captivates visitors with its unspoilt beaches and charming old town, while Hammamet, with its extensive beaches, historic medina and luxurious resorts, is an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and culture alike.
"The continuous expansion of our services from Bern shows that the demand for convenient holiday flights from the region is growing. Bern Airport impresses with its good connections, short distances and favourable parking options. With Monastir, customers can now also benefit from the excellent price-performance ratio on the Tunisian Riviera," says Nicole Pfammatter, CEO Hotelplan Suisse.
The new holiday flights can now be booked via www.hotelplan.ch and in attractive package deals on migros-ferien.ch and in all travel agencies of Hotelplan Suisse. Thalasso fans can also find the right pampering programme at our travel specialist tourismepourtous.ch.
