Martin Scheuer leaves Travelwindow Group – Inka Nobel takes over
From 1 May 2013, the Switzerland-based Travelwindow Group will have its first female Chief Executive Officer. Inka Nobel (38) - since last December Head of the newly-created Marketing, Sales & Operations Department - succeeds Martin Scheuer.
Martin Scheuer had been appointed to the post on 1 February, but during his trial period opted to relinquish his position and return to Germany where his family lives. Simon Lehmann - Deputy CEO of the parent Hotelplan Group with responsibility for the Travel Related & Online Services Division - commented: "I very much regret this development, but wish Martin Scheuer the very best for the future. Finding in Inka Nobel such a suitable successor from within the organization has been our wonderful good fortune."
Inka Nobel possesses extensive know-how in the fields of management, IT and distribution and has long been familiar with the Hotelplan and Travelwindow Groups. From 2009 to 2012 she held the post of Executive Director of Prague-based Call Center Service Provider dialogs 24/7 - with its 74 staff responsible for the global distribution and service activities of Hotelplan subsidiary, Interhome. In September 2012 she was appointed Head of Sales & Operations in Zurich of the Travelwindow Group (which includes the travel.ch online travel agency). In December she was named Head of the merged Marketing, Sales & Operations
