Roman Wetli named new CIO of Hotelplan Group
Roman Wetli will assume the role of CIO of Hotelplan Group on 1 October 2021. He succeeds Pablo Castillo, who – as already announced – is leaving the company at the end of September.
The Hotelplan Group Board of Directors has appointed Roman Wetli, hitherto Director Engineering & Competence Centers, as Hotelplan Group's new CIO. He will assume his new duties on 1 October 2021. In his new role, Roman Wetli will become a member of the Group Management, reporting directly to Hotelplan Group CEO Laura Meyer.
Roman Wetli has worked for Hotelplan Group for almost 23 years, joining the company as a junior application engineer at Interhome. After nine years with Hotelplan Group's holiday home provider, he switched as Manager Application Engineering to Hotelplan Management AG, the ICT arm of Hotelplan Group. "We are delighted to have found in Roman Wetli an extremely competent and collaborative person for the position of CIO. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of our business, is familiar with the upcoming projects, and can ensure IT continuity in these challenging times and play an important role in defining and advancing our group strategy. On behalf of the entire group management team, I would like to wish him much satisfaction and success in his new role," says Laura Meyer.
