The group's realignment and restructuring has been completed - Substantially strengthened portfolio - Next growth phase under new leadership

Dr. Christof A. Zuber, CEO of Hotelplan Group, is retiring from his functions and will be leaving the company during April. As Dr. Christof A. Zuber stated during today's annual media conference, the Hotelplan Group is, after substantial changes to the portfolio and a far-reaching restructuring during recent years, today clearly structured and strategically re-aligned. Due to investment in new technology-driven business models, the group is also prepared to meet the structural changes of the sector. The Hotelplan Group is therefore well positioned for future years that will continue to be challenging.

After careful consideration, Dr. Christof A. Zuber has decided to retire from his functions. "In agreement with the Chairman of the Board, who has given me his unconditional support during the entire restructuring of the Hotelplan Group, I have decided to make room for a new leadership to tackle the coming growth phase. It is a good time to make a change. The conditions are in place to significantly improve results during the current financial year," commented Dr. Christof A. Zuber on his departure. With this decision and the planned appointment of his successor by the Board, the continuity in the development of the Hotelplan Group has been assured.

The Board of the Hotelplan Holding AG regrets Dr. Christof A. Zuber's decision to retire from his functions. "We would like to thank Christof Zuber for his considerable commitment. He has approached all challenges with foresight and has steadily overcome them. We wish him every success for the future," commented Herbert Bolliger, President of the Board.

As of the beginning of April, Hans Lerch, Vice-President of the Board, will in addition to his existing function take over the management of the company as a delegate of the Board. Hans Lerch is the former CEO of Kuoni Reisen Holding AG and since May 2009 Vice-President of the Board of Hotelplan Holding AG. Thomas Stirnimann, CEO of M-Travel Switzerland, will be appointed as Hans Lerch's deputy. "We are glad that Hans Lerch has agreed to take over the management of the Hotelplan Group", added Herbert Bolliger.
