The Swiss travel group Hotelplan Group is now suspending its travel programme until 30 April 2020. This means that bookings for package holidays and holiday apartments and homes up to this date are being cancelled free of charge.

In view of the latest global developments surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, Hotelplan Group has decided to suspend its travel programme until and including 30 April 2020. This means that already booked package holidays up to this date will be cancelled free of charge. The same applies to already booked Interhome and Interchalet holiday apartments and homes worldwide. Individual services booked through Hotelplan Suisse are also cancelled. In this case, the customer will be reimbursed by the service provider. New bookings will only be accepted for holiday travel commencing on or after 1 May 2020.

Countries such as Germany, Spain and Canada have already extended existing travel warnings for their citizens or entrance bans over the last few days. "We assume that other countries will follow suit. In order to minimise the financial impact on our customers, we are cancelling all holiday travel until the end of April," says Hotelplan Group CEO Thomas Stirnimann. The affected customers will be proactively informed in the coming days.
