Interhome is expanding its business model to long-term holiday apartment leases and has signed multi-year contracts for 20 apartments in the "LocTowers" in Locarno. The Local Service Office (LSO) in Locarno has relocated to new premises in the same complex.

The Swiss holiday home provider Interhome Group is expanding its business model. Whereas previously the company has only rented out privately-owned holiday homes and apartments as holiday accommodation, the portfolio has now been expanded to include apartments in new-build projects on long-term leases.

In a first project, Interhome has signed multi-year leases for 20 apartments in the "LocTowers" in Locarno. The optimised business model means that Interhome Group is not only responsible for renting out and marketing but also for the interior design of the holiday apartments. As such, all holiday apartments in the complex have been furnished and equipped by Interhome. The accommodation in the new, stylish residential project enjoys a prime location close to vibrant downtown Locarno with the Piazza Grande and the shore of Lake Maggiore and is connected to the public transport network – and thus perfectly suited for holidays in an apartment or even a working vacation in canton Ticino. The apartments can be booked through www.interhome.ch since 1 July 2022. "This new kind of cooperation for Interhome Group creates added value for our business partners and guests and for the tourism destination itself. We look forward to investing more in such projects in the future," says Roger Müller, Chief Procurement Officer Interhome Group.
Ticino is the most popular region among Swiss people for holidays in a holiday flat in Switzerland. Bookings for holiday apartments and houses in Ticino have more than doubled this year compared to 2019. With the "LocTowers" project, Interhome is thus meeting the increased demand.

New LSO location

In further Locarno-based news, Ticino Regional Manager Franco Canonico and his team moved the Local Service Office (LSO) from the Hotelplan branch to the "LocTowers" on 1 July 2022. This means that guests can now collect the keys to their holiday apartment in or around Locarno directly at the new office premises and benefit from the personal service.
