Mario Irminger and Michel Gruber are to complement the Hotelplan Group Board of Directors. Michel Gruber will serve as the board's chairman. They succeed Fabrice Zumbrunnen, who is stepping down from the Hotelplan Group Board of Directors at the end of April due to a career change.

The designated Chairman of the Executive Board of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, Mario Irminger, is joining Hotelplan Group's Board of Directors. The 58-year-old initially joined Migros Group in 2010 as Head of Finance at the subsidiary Denner before being appointed Denner's CEO in 2011. Prior to this he worked as an auditor at EY, then as Head of Finance at Heineken Switzerland.

Michel Gruber, 46, has also been appointed to the Hotelplan Group Board of Directors, where he will take the role of chairman. Michel Gruber has headed Migros' Commerce Department for two years and is a member of the Executive Board of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives. As Chairman of the Board of the Migros-owned trading companies Denner, Digitec Galaxus, Migrol, migrolino and ExLibris, he is also responsible for their strategic and financial management. Michel Gruber's previous executive posts include that of Managing Director at Migros Digital Commerce, Managing Director at Valora Food Service Switzerland and Managing Director at Brezelkönig AG.

Both new board members will succeed Fabrice Zumbrunnen, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, who is leaving Migros Group at the end of April and therefore stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Hotelplan Group. The entire Hotelplan Group would like to thank Fabrice Zumbrunnen for his commitment throughout the past years. He has been a consistent supporter of Migros' travel operations, particularly in the recent challenging years.
